WOW!  It is autumn already.  The wild geese pass over my house every morning warning me that winter is on its way.  We are already in full swing in Grade 4.  The children are enthusiastic and I predict a great year of learning.

In addition to the ABC's and 123's, the most important skill the students will take with them from Grade 4 is an understanding that they are responsible for their own learning.  Mom and dad have passed this grade long ago and Mrs. Adams is a learning coach not a spoon feeder.

You will see a remarkable change from September to June.  Enjoy the journey with us!

A new page has been added to help you with your scheduling.  It is the TUSC Schedule page.  Now you will always be able to know when the next meeting will be and what you have to prepare.  This week will be crazy with my being in and out of the classroom but bear with me.  It will all work out.  Since it is a short week, we will have last week's Spelling Quiz but no new Spelling.  There will be a Math Homework job.

Tuesday, 19 February 2013

This is a short week and we have a lot of learning to cram into a few days.  It is wonderful to have an almost full house again.  The flu really knocked out many students and a few teachers.  Remember to wash your hands frequently to avoid spreading germs and keep those fingers away from your nose.

Because it is a short week, we will spend the time reviewing already learned ideas.  Take a look at the poll and vote.  This blog will grow and change as we grow and learn.

Tomorrow we have members from the University of Manitoba Bisons who will read with us in the afternoon.  One of them is Mrs. Lauder's son.  Please remember to bring in your permission slip for the Music Festival

Welcome!

Well, as a technosaurus, this is a big step!  I am jumping into the 21st century with a little help from some great friends.  Please bear with me while I learn how to blog.  Hopefully, by the end of the year, I will be grade as a "P" rather than an "A".
